This is an extension of my earlier Hardlight project. In this series I have reversed out the previous images and transfered printed details onto white stones. The images are constructed from simple, quick laser prints applied using Acrylic Gel Medium and removing the paper backing with water and rubbing. I wasn't sure if the fine lines and details would survive the process and after many failed attempts I manage to get the process to work without losing parts or the whole image.

The original images come from layering many digitally generated patterns distroting some and applying various blend modes and effects to end up with grids of non-repeating patterns - each one slightly or significantly different from its neighbour. The resulting geometry still fascinates me and it seemed fitting to apply the designs to some organic shapes and forms. I enjoy the complexity of the combinded and overlayed circles and lines that have the appearance of architectural plans and also resemble test pattern images and fragments of diagrams. Thank you for taking a look.
